Has someone told you that you don't discipline your child correctly? And how did that make you feel?
What exactly is Child Discipline? The best way to start is by looking at the definitions of the term:
- child: a person or an individual in a small body - one that is not fully grown (our favorite definition).
- discipline: 1) calm control over lifestyle: mental self-control used in directing or changing behavior, learning something or training for something;
- discipline: 2) calm controlled behavior: the ability to behave in a controlled and calm way even in a difficult or stressful situation;
- discipline: 3) training to ensure proper behavior: the practice or methods of teaching and enforcing acceptable patterns of behavior;
- discipline: 4) order and control: a controlled orderly state, especially in a class of schoolchildren.
- discipline: 5) punishment: punishment designed to teach somebody obedience; — Encarta World English Dictionary®
